About UGDSB
UGDSB employs a team of approximately 6,500 dedicated staff who serve more than 35,000 students across 66 elementary and 11 secondary schools, along with continuing education and adult learning centres in the counties of Dufferin, Wellington, and the City of Guelph. Rate of Pay: $59,300.82 – $ per annum; salary grid rate based on QECO rating and teaching experience; annual salary prorated based on FTE; grid rate effective September 1, 2025.
Effective Date: September 2, 2026 – February 2, 2027

Required Qualifications: Senior English
Reporting To: Principal of the assigned school.
ResponsibilitiesThe Long‑Term Occasional Teacher is responsible for providing continuous, high‑quality education during the temporary absence of the regular teacher. This includes supporting student achievement and well‑being in accordance with Ontario Ministry of Education standards and Board policies.
