Position: Long Term Occasional Social Science Teacher

The Upper Grand District School Board is looking for a dedicated Long Term Occasional Teacher for one section of Social Science from September 2, 2026, to February 2, 2027. This role requires a focus on student achievement and well-being, while adhering to Ontario Ministry of Education standards. Candidates should be prepared to deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons that meet student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous education during the regular teacher's absence

• Develop lesson plans in line with curriculum standards

• Report progress and address any classroom challenges

Requirements:

• Senior Social Science qualification

• Commitment to equity and inclusivity in education

• Ability to create a positive learning environment

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Valid teaching certification in Ontario
