The Upper Grand District School Board is looking for a dynamic individual for a Long Term Occasional Physical Education role. This position promotes continuous learning and student well-being at Centre Wellington District High School.
You will provide a high-quality educational experience to students while the regular teacher is absent. The role focuses on Intermediate Physical Education and requires engagement with students to foster their overall wellness and achievement. Through a collaborative approach, you will follow the educational standards required by the Ontario Ministry of Education and ensure an inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure continuous high-quality Physical Education instruction
• Support and monitor student achievement and engagement
• Collaborate with the Principal on instructional methods
• Implement Ontario Ministry of Education standards in teaching
• Promote inclusivity and well-being within the classroom
Requirements:
• Hold Intermediate Physical Education qualification
• Submit two professional supervisory references
• Conduct a valid Vulnerable Sector Check
• Advocate for diversity in educational settings
• Commit to a term from September 2, 2026, to February 2, 2027
