Tenure-Track Organic Chemistry Professor

University of Guelph seeks a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Organic Chemistry to inspire future scientists through research and teaching starting December 2026. Bring your expertise in organic synthesis, bioorganic chemistry, and related fields to advance our department.

As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, your Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field will support our vibrant academic community. You will lead impactful research initiatives funded by NSERC, develop independent research programs, and engage in high-quality teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels. Your efforts will contribute meaningfully to both research and service within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead an independent research program

• Deliver engaging lectures and develop course materials

• Mentor undergraduate and graduate students

• Publish high-impact research and present at conferences

• Contribute to departmental service activities

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field

• Record of funded research and publications

• Teaching experience in chemistry courses

• Strong ability to attract research funding

• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
