Long Term Occasional – Intermediate (Language & Physical Education) – 1.0 FTE

Reporting to the Principal of the assigned school, the Long-Term Occasional Teacher will provide continuous, high-quality education during the temporary absence of the regular teacher, supporting student achievement and well-being in accordance with Ontario Ministry of Education standards and Board Policies.

  • Rate of Pay: $52,974.00 – $ per annum, prorated based on 1.0 FTE

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lessons and assessments for intermediate students in Language and Physical Education.
  • Use appropriate instructional strategies to promote student learning and well-being.
  • Maintain classroom management and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the regular teacher and school staff to ensure continuity of instruction.
  • Keep accurate attendance and progress records as required by policy.
  • Support the achievement of school and provincial educational outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Intermediate teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of two (2) professional supervisory references, including at least one from your current Principal or Vice‑Principal.
  • Provision of an original Vulnerable Sector Check dated within 6 months of employment start.
  • Knowledge of Ontario Ministry of Education standards and experience with inclusive classroom practices is desirable.
