Educational Assistant at UGDSB

Become part of the Upper Grand District School Board as an Educational Assistant. This temporary role involves supporting students with diverse needs at various locations throughout the board.

UGDSB is seeking a dedicated Educational Assistant for a temporary position. In this role, you'll work with students to address their emotional, physical, and behavioral needs. Candidates should have strong adaptability, empathy, and teamwork skills while working closely with teachers, parents, and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with safety, behavior, and medical needs

• Assist with lifting, toileting, and transferring children

• Work with individuals and in group settings

• Maintain communication with teachers and families

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Educational Assistant Diploma or equivalent experience

• Valid Behaviour Management Systems certification required

• Experience with students with special needs preferred

• Training in Autism Spectrum Disorder an asset

• Reliable transportation to various school locations
