Position: Grade 7/8 Long Term Occasional Teacher
Become a valuable member of the Upper Grand District School Board as a Long Term Occasional Teacher for Grade 7/8. This 1.0 FTE position is based in Westwood, supporting educational excellence from September 2, 2026.

The Upper Grand District School Board seeks an enthusiastic Grade 7/8 Long Term Occasional Teacher for a full-time assignment. Reporting to the Principal, you will ensure a high-quality learning environment during the regular teacher's absence.

Your role will directly influence student achievement and well-being in alignment with the Ontario Ministry of Education standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous education during the teacher’s absence

• Develop engaging lesson plans based on curriculum

• Support student learning and development

• Assess student progress and report to the Principal

• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Requirements:

• Qualified Intermediate Teacher with appropriate certification

• Strong commitment to student achievement

• Experience with diverse learning needs

• Effective communication and collaboration skills

• Demonstrated dedication to equity and inclusion
