In this key role within the Office of Registrarial Services, you will support undergraduate students in BSc, BMath, and BOH programs. Reporting to a Senior Academic Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for advising inquiries, successfully managing routine guidance and information dissemination. Your work helps enhance student understanding and encourages success through effective communication and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide academic guidance on course selection and university policies
• Manage advising inquiries via email, phone, and in-person
• Support appointment bookings and develop advising resources
• Maintain confidential student records per privacy guidelines
• Communicate with Advisors about complex student situations
Requirements:
• 2 years of relevant experience in advising or support roles
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work with diverse student populations
• Experience with academic policies and student information systems
• Proficiency in standard office technologies
Deliver vital academic support and foster a culture of inclusion as an Advising Assistant at the University of Guelph.
