This Career Advisor position is integral to the Experiential Learning Hub, supporting career education, co-operative education, and work-integrated learning. You will deliver individual and group career support, build partnerships across faculties, and connect students with valuable experiential opportunities.
Your role is essential in guiding students through their career journeys and enhancing employability skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise students on career planning and development
• Deliver workshops and presentations for student groups
• Maintain resources in various formats for career support
• Connect students with experiential learning opportunities
• Collaborate with departments to enhance career services
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum three years in career development or advising
• Knowledge of veterinary medicine career pathways preferred
• Experience with diverse student populations
• Strong organizational and communication skills
Support student success and career development with effective advising at the University of Guelph.
