Lead students in the Interdisciplinary Design Lab as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Guelph for Fall 2026. Explore the intersection of digital tools and fine arts in a creative environment.
As a Sessional Lecturer, you will facilitate student learning by integrating advanced technologies such as 3D scanning and virtual reality into fine arts. Collaboration with the IDL manager and direct involvement in student projects are key components. Candidates must exhibit proficiency in Studio Art and a willingness to explore new methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct interactive training for students
• Guide student-led projects using digital tools
• Monitor and assist during examinations
• Engage in mold making and project assembly
• Stay current with emerging art technologies
Requirements:
• Graduate-level training in Studio Art required
• Experience with 3D printing/scanning beneficial
• Must be present on-campus multiple times weekly
• Enrollment in the MFA.SART program preferred
• Strong hands-on skills and a willingness to embrace technology
