Position: Guelph Educational Assistant Role

Within this role at UGDSB, you will work in a full-time capacity, engaging directly with students during their educational journey. You will collaborate closely with teachers and parents, applying your skills in behaviour management and providing individualized attention where necessary. Key Responsibilities:

• Support individual and group learning sessions

• Address safety, medical, and physical needs of students

• Collaborate with teachers for tailored student support

• Apply BMS techniques for student assistance

• Complete additional assigned tasks

Requirements:

• Educational Assistant Diploma or equivalent

• Current Behaviour Management Systems certification

• Experience with behavioral disabilities preferred

• Familiarity with special needs training

• Ability to perform physical tasks as required
