Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR):2026-27 Academic Year
The John
F. Wood Centre for Business and Student Enterprise at the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics,
University of Guelph is seeking an accomplished entrepreneur to serve as our Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) for the 2026-27 academic year.
This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support the next generation of entrepreneurs by sharing your experience, insights, and expertise with University of Guelph students and emerging founders.
About the RoleAs Entrepreneur in Residence, you will play an integral role in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among students from a wide range of disciplines. You will:
- Mentor student entrepreneurs and startup founders
- Host office hours and provide one-on-one advising
- Deliver workshops, guest lectures, and educational programming
- Connect students with industry contacts, networks, and opportunities
- Help strengthen and grow the University of Guelph's entrepreneurial ecosystem
- Format: Hybrid (on main campus and virtual)
- Time Commitment: Approximately 4 hours per week
- Campus Presence: 2 to 3 on-campus visits per month
