Long Term Science Teacher

Position: Long Term Occasional Science Teacher
Elevate education with the Upper Grand District School Board as a Long Term Occasional Science Teacher at John F Ross CVI. You'll provide high-quality education during a temporary absence while nurturing student achievement.

In this essential role, you will support students in a secondary learning environment, implementing Ontario Ministry of Education standards. We're looking for a candidate with Intermediate Science qualifications ready to engage with diverse learners. This position will commence immediately and last until February 2, 2027, depending on the regular teacher's return.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging science lessons in the absence of the regular teacher

• Support student achievement and well-being through tailored education

• Collaborate with staff to maintain educational standards

• Ensure compliance with Ontario Ministry of Education mandates

• Provide a safe and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:

• Intermediate Science qualification required

• Availability for immediate start

• Proven ability to support diverse learning needs

• Strong communication and classroom management skills

• Vulnerable Sector Check dated within 6 months
