The UGDSB is situated on the ancestral, treaty and title lands of two Anishinaabek Ojibwe Nations: the Michi Saagig of the Credit and the Saugeen Ojibway Nation. THE OPPORTUNITYThe UGDSB is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team for temporary full-time opportunity in the capacity of Early Childhood Educator.

1.0 FTE Brisbane Public School
1.0 FTE Centennial Hylands Elementary School
1.0 FTE Drayton Heights Public School
1.0 FTE Gateway Drive Public School
1.0 FTE Victoria Terrace Public School

School location/geographical area cannot be guaranteed in perpetuity and are subject to change based on student and system needs
Hours:
1.0 FTE; 32.5 hours per week
Hourly Rate of Pay:$30.92 - $36.74 per hour, plus applicable vacation pay in accordance with the ESA; wage rate effective September 1, 2025

Educational Student Support Personnel (ESSP) & Designated Early Childhood Educators (DECE) Union

Reporting to the Principal, the Early Childhood Educator (ECE) will be part of the Early Learning team. In this role, the ECE will collaborate with the classroom teacher to implement a full-day early learning program within a classroom setting which will enhance children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development. The ECE will share responsibilities with other educators for instruction, assessment, and supervision as well as communication with families and school teams.
The ECE will also establish and maintain collaborative relationships with other community services providers working with children. The ECE may be required to provide supervision and age-appropriate (learning) programming for groups of students as part of the extended day program as required.
