Become a Teaching Assistant for the ECON
* 2650 Intro to Development Economics course at the University of Guelph for Fall 2026.
This role offers a chance to engage with students while honing your communication skills.
The position is specifically for a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) within the Economics department. Duties include office hours, preparation, student consultations, grading, and invigilating exams. You will interact regularly with students, providing guidance and academic support as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct office hours for student inquiries
• Assist in exam invigilation and grading
• Prepare materials and resources for lectures
• Attend scheduled meetings and training sessions
• Offer support during weekly tasks and exams
Requirements:
• Must be a registered University of Guelph graduate student
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Availability during weekdays, 8:30-4:30 pm
• Commitment to deadlines for grading and invigilating
• Graduate Degree in Economics in progress preferred
