Help children and young people with additional support needs through personal care, medical support, mobility assistance, and learning activities.
This Pupil Support Assistant position with Moray Council supports pupils in a caring and supportive environment. The work includes assisting with personal and medical care, responding positively to varied needs, and working under teaching staff guidance. The temporary post runs until 24 October 2027.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide support to children and young people
- Attend to personal care and health needs
- Assist pupils requiring medical care
- Support pupil mobility and dependent care tasks
- Support a safe, healthy, hygienic environment
- Experience working with school-age children or young adults
- Ability to assist with special educational needs care
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to use initiative and sound judgement
- Ability to work under teaching staff direction
Use empathy, patience, and effective communication to support Moray Council pupils’ personal needs, health, mobility, and learning.
