Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Position Summary
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the full scale of projects from planning to execute our pre-existing and new production lines. You will investigate and monitor equipment, analyze and recommend the most efficient combinations.

KeyAccountabilities
- Planning and executing of projects related to new and pre-existing production lines, improvements, upgrades and new equipment.
- Investigate and monitor new machinery and equipment in order to recommend or select efficient combinations.
- Conduct time studies to optimize cycle counts of existing process.
- Recognize and resolve tooling related difficulties with existing and new projects.
- Conduct studies of the reliability and performance of plant facilities production and administrative systems.
- Develop and review all processes and operator instructions to ensure accuracy and conformance to actual procedures.
- Lead development of process flows, process sheets, FMEA’s and control plans.
- Prepare quotes and attend Customer Focus Meetings.
- Work with production planning to set shop priorities and ensure all required equipment and documentation is available to run jobs.
- Interface with suppliers of raw material and tools to establish engineering requirements for the start of production.
- Assist in training shop floor personnel in machine set-up, equipment operation and best practice.
- A University degree or diploma in engineering or equivalent.
- 5 Year of experience in a machining or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to review scale drawings to meet customer requirements and comply with manufacturing capabilities.
- Experience using specialized equipment and techniques to take precise measurements.
- Ability to determine materials and equipment to use for projects and decide the appropriate codes and standards.
- Experience in contacting suppliers to verify product availability, specification and negotiate timely deliveries.
- Licensing by a provincial or territorial association of Professional Engineers (P Eng.)
- Organizational skills to coordinate integrate work teams involving other engineers, technicians and suppliers
- Experience in risk analysis and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA).
