Guelph Controls Engineer Position

Step into a vital role at Linamar as a Controls Design Engineer, situated in Guelph, ON. This on-site position involves tackling design-related control challenges and exploring proven technologies for innovative product designs.

Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, your role will be crucial for supporting control system development. You will focus on preparing vehicle system control designs, conducting calculations to ensure compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Maintain comprehensive project documentation while troubleshooting design issues throughout the development cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Address design control issues in production systems

• Create control system schematics and design drawings

• Monitor and evaluate new component technologies

• Coordinate design reviews and adjust plans based on DFMEA findings

• Support prototype designs with data analysis and testing

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering;
Professional Engineer status preferred

• Proven experience in controls or electrical engineering in manufacturing

• Knowledge of custom microcontrollers and electrical components

• Strong analytical skills and troubleshooting abilities

• Familiarity with Solid Works and AutoCAD
