Technical + Project Work
- Conduct acoustic and vibration measurements, analyze data, and develop modelling predictions.
- Review acoustic design of buildings.
- Prepare clear, high quality technical reports and supporting documentation.
- Assist with instrumentation setup, maintenance, calibration, and software applications used in acoustics, noise, and vibration studies.
- Support the development of new models, tools, and analytical methods.
- Work closely with consultants, engineers, project managers, and technical specialists across SLR’s “One Team” environment.
- Maintain positive, professional communication with clients, and regulators.
- Monitor your utilization goals and contribute to the financial success of project work.
- Support business development efforts, including preparing proposals, gathering project information, and assisting senior staff in client engagements.
- Degree or technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, physics, or related studies.
- Professional status or eligibility (e.g., P.Eng.) is an asset.
- Experience in acoustics, noise, and vibration (co‑op, internship, or early career) is an asset.
- Understanding of noise and vibration measurement, prediction, or evaluation methodologies is an asset.
- Experience with acoustic modelling tools (e.g., Insul, CadnaA, CATT, Odeon, EASE, SAP
2000, Visual Basic, MATLAB or Python for signal processing) is an asset. - Knowledge of provincial, local, and industry specific regulations and guidelines.
- Strong communication, problem solving skills, and a collaborative mindset.
- Awareness of workplace Health & Safety requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel periodically to job sites.
The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $75,000. Final agreed‑upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.
