Mechanical Design Engineer at Skyjack

Become a key player at Skyjack as a Mechanical Design Engineer, focusing on line support and product design enhancements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ensure product specifications and manufacturing capabilities are met every day.

In this pivotal role, you will report to the Engineering Supervisor and liaise between Design Engineering and Manufacturing. Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor's in mechanical or electrical engineering and at least two years of relevant design experience. Key skills include knowledge of Solid Works, GD&T, and effective communication with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare production drawings and supporting calculations

• Design and implement product changes for improvement

• Resolve BOM issues through investigation

• Maintain thorough project documentation

• Investigate equipment failures and propose solutions

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years as a Mechanical/Electrical designer

• Strong knowledge of GD&T and DFMEA

• Proficiency in Solid Works with formal training preferred

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

• Leadership abilities to mentor junior engineers
