Position: Process Engineering 2
JOB PROFILE:
Develop, implement and improve manufacturing processes for automotive Thermal products. This includes but is not limited to the implementation of automated processes and refinement of current equipment and tooling to maintain and achieve the company's Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). Other necessary Production Engineering skills include project management and improving process controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Champion the design/development and implementation of new processes, revising existing processes, and developing and coordinating the implementation of projects and new launches.Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, engineering changes, VA/VE activities, support quality concerns and trouble-shoot production issues on the lines.Project management and detailed scheduling for new equipment procurement and other projects.Create, update and maintain all Core Tool process documentation (PFMEA’s, process flows, Control Plans).Maintain safe working practices and compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations and other governing bodies.Identify and validate new technologies available to improve current processesPerforms product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiencyPerforms other duties as requiredKey
Qualifications/Requirements:
Must have a post secondary education Degree in either Mechanical or Manufacturing EngineeringMust have previous CO-OP experience in the automotive industryMust have experience specification writing for new equipmentMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishMust have excellent teambuilding and leadership skillsMinimum three (3) years experience as a Process Engineer within the automotive industry or similar manufacturing industry (includes co-op experience at Denso)Experience in managing and implementing new Processes (APQPComputer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and ProjectCapable to read and interpret CAD drawings and 2D Product printsProven analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skillsProven project management skillsExperience in process assembly is an asset.Overtime paid
