As the Associate Regulatory Data Reporting Analyst you will be responsible for ensuring all required statistical plan data is reported, on behalf of the organization, to regulatory bodies based on the mandated requirements. You will play a vital role in analyzing transmitted data, verifying accuracy, and identifying errors. You will be allocated to projects as a Subject Matter Expert of Regulatory Data Reporting, with the responsibility of requirement gathering, analysis, testing, recreates, knowledge sharing and participation in the delivery of fixes.
You will collaborate with external regulatory bodies and internal business partners, ensuring regulatory data reporting requirements are met.
- Compile and analyze statistical data.
- Compare and evaluate accuracy and compliance of reported data; identify trends and variances.
- Initiate investigation and solutioning on data issues.
- Reconcile variances/discrepancies with reported data as needed.
- Extract and evaluate data using Business Intelligence (BI) tools to draw conclusions and proactively take action as required, in response to regulatory body inquiries.
- Provide data and insight in relation to regulatory data reporting to business partners.
- Gather, analyze, validate, and document regulatory reporting requirements and communicate reporting impacts and risks associated with projects and strategic initiatives.
- Develop test plans, define detailed test cases, conduct user acceptance testing and provide sign off.
- You influence change and are committed to continuous improvement, in order to exceed client expectations.
- You leverage critical thinking skills to identify problems and proactively propose solutions.
- Your strong communication skills allow you to clearly convey messages.
- You’re an effective team player who shares knowledge to support your peers.
- You have 2-3 years of experience in Property & Casualty Insurance Industry or related analytics role.
- You have a diploma or degree in Business, Statistics, Math, Actuarial Science, Data Science or equivalent field.
- Completion of Business Analysis Courses and/or Chartered Insurance Professional courses is an asset.
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with Advanced Excel skills.
- You have experience working with data visualization tools such as Micro Strategy.
- Detail oriented work that requires frequent mental concentration for extended periods of time.
- This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment.

Salary information
Expected salary range $50,280 to $83,800
Salary placement
The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
