Join the County of Wellington as a Planning Co-op Student. Contribute to the Development Division while engaging in data collection and analysis during your co-op term from September to December.
This full-time role offers valuable experience in municipal planning. Under the supervision of Sr. Planners, you will assist in data analysis, help track development applications, and interact with the public. This opportunity is ideal for students enrolled in a planning or geography program.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research and analyze information for policy implementation
• Collaborate on updating land inventories
• Assist in GIS mapping and data projects
• Support the review of development applications
• Provide responses to public inquiries
Requirements:
• Enrolled in a full-time University Planning Degree programme
• Familiarity with the Planning Act and municipal processes
• Prior experience in a municipal environment is beneficial
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and GIS tools
• Demonstrated skills in research and communication
