REGISTERED NURSE - MEDICINE
(TEMPORARY PART TIME)
One () temporary part time Registered Nurse position is available in the Medicine department at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current College of Nurses certificate of competenceCurrent certificate in BCLS & ACLSCertified to start IV’s and give IV medsDefibrillation and Cardiac pacing certification requiredCoronary Care Course or equivalentCVADS (Central Venous Access Devices) and lead ECG preferredRecent experience in medical nursing including palliative careWell developed assessment skills necessaryCommitment to serve in capacity of charge nurseSatisfactory performance and attendance requiredSatisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start dateMust provide a Police Vulnerable Sector CheckMust complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hiredwill consider applicant’s firm commitment to complete these certifications within a specific agreed upon time period.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Superior communication, interpersonal and organizational skills necessary for effective patient and staff interaction in a busy, demanding environmentDemonstrated commitment to ongoing education and performance development (including focus on palliative care) to contribute towards achievement of unit goals and objectivesHOURS:
Must be available for all three shifts, and weekends, as per department scheduleAll other contract rules applySALARY:
