POSITION OVERVIEW:
One () regular part time Registered Nurse opportunity is available at the Louise Marshall Hospital site of North Wellington Health Care.
This position will be responsible for comprehensive nursing care as established by the standards of nursing practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario and according to policies and procedures as set out by NWHC.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Ontario RN Certificate of CompetenceBScN is an assetMembership in RNAO and CNA is an assetCurrent BCLSACLS or commitment to obtain within monthsMaternal Child Course or relevant clinical experience for exemptionNRP,or commitment to obtain within monthsCardiac monitoring skills (ECG application & interpretation, cardiac arrhythmia interpretation) or commitment to obtain within monthsCompetent to start IV or commitment to obtain within monthsCompetent in phlebotomy or commitment to obtain within monthsCertified for defibrillation or competent in monthsTNCC recommendedENPC/PALS recommendedMust be prepared to work in all areas of the HospitalDemonstrated excellent communication skills both verbal and writtenProven organizational and critical-thinking skillsAbility to function as an effective interdisciplinary team memberAbility to assume a leadership/charge roleDemonstrated commitment to continuing education and willingness to actively participate in departmental educational activitiesSatisfactory performance and attendance requiredSatisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start dateMust provide a Police Vulnerable Sector CheckMust complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hiredHOURS OF WORK:
