LifeLabs Patient Care Technician Part-Time

Join Life Labs as a part-time Lab Patient Technician and help improve patient outcomes through effective specimen collection and care strategies. Availability is required Monday to Friday and rotational Saturdays.

This part-time role involves covering locations in Guelph and Fergus, where you'll greet patients, perform necessary specimen collections, and maintain meticulous documentation. As a Lab Patient Technician, you'll need to ensure patient comfort and confidentiality while executing your duties with precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients and explain collection procedures

• Conduct phlebotomy and Holter monitor tasks

• Execute clinical trials and medical/legal test collections

• Maintain strong relationships with clients and address their inquiries

• Complete essential patient data entry and specimen prep

Requirements:

• Graduate from Laboratory Assistant program preferred

• Phlebotomy experience is advantageous

• Qualified in ECG training is a plus

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

• Capability to uphold strict confidentiality standards
