Join Stonehenge Therapeutic Community as an Addiction Counsellor, offering specialized support in a residential treatment setting. Collaborate with individuals facing addiction and concurrent mental health challenges.

As a full-time Addiction Counsellor, you'll engage in intensive support for clients navigating complex substance use issues. Your clinical expertise will shine as you deliver group therapy, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-informed practices. This role involves community living activities with residents, requiring excellent organizational and crisis intervention skills to ensure effective treatment delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide group therapy and psycho-educational programming

• Develop individual treatment and risk mitigation plans

• Utilize evidence-informed practices such as Motivational Interviewing

• Monitor resident progress and coordinate treatment plans

• Respond to crisis and urgent situations proactively

Requirements:

• BSW, MSW or equivalent in mental health or addiction

• Registration with CRPO or OCSWSSW required

• Minimum one year of experience in addictions or mental health

• Certified Addictions Counsellor or equivalent certification preferred

• Valid G Driver’s License with a satisfactory record
