Personal Support Worker - Casual Opportunity

Contribute to patient care excellence eph’s Health Centre in Guelph as a Casual Personal Support Worker.

Your role will focus on rehabilitation and daily living support for patients.

This role involves assisting with various personal care activities, emphasizing communication and comfort for each individual. Taking part in patient-centered care means you will work closely with families and the healthcare team to enhance patient experiences. Strong organizational skills will be vital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with personal hygiene and grooming

• Help with nutrition and meal setups

• Facilitate toileting routines and mobility assistance

• Promote patient comfort and socialization efforts

• Foster therapeutic relationships in a healthcare team

Requirements:

• Certificate in personal support work from an approved school

• Preferred experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting

• Effective communication and relationship-building skills

• Able to prioritize tasks in a collaborative environment

• Capacity to work independently and follow care plans
