As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, the Behavioural Support Worker provides direct care services in community programs. This role demands expertise in implementing behavioural interventions, assessing patient needs, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. With a commitment to safety and quality care, you will support individuals on their healthcare journey through consistent engagement and training.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement behavioral and rehabilitation interventions for clients
• Teach activities of daily living using OT and PT strategies
• Document progress and maintain communication with care teams
• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and collect data
• Support social skills and recreational activities inclusively
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience assisting with behavior interventions
• Post-secondary education in related fields
• Knowledge of psychogeriatric assessment tools
• Experience with dementia and cognitive challenges
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
