Clinical Manager - Supportive Housing

About the Role:As a member of the Clinical Leadership Team, the Clinical Manager – Supportive Housing is accountable for providing clinical direction, leadership and oversight of staff working within two distinct Housing Support programs.
The Supportive Addiction and Mental Health Housing (SAMH) program supports individuals living in the community who are dealing with significant substance use issues as well as other complexities to enhance their quality of life through the provision of support to housing, support coordination, advocacy, and counselling. Staff in this program support clients engaging in transitional housing programs, as well as clients with ongoing support needs.
The Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) program provides a long-term, affordable housing solution with flexible and voluntary support services offered to support high-acuity individuals who are homeless with housing retention and independent living.
In this role, the Clinical Manager will be responsible for program planning, programming, recruitment support, and direct supervision of staff. In addition to demonstrating strong clinical skills and professional judgment, our ideal candidate will have experience in developing high performing staff teams.

Hours of Work:
- Monday to Friday (days)
- Participation in a mandatory clinical "on call" rotation is also required, as a shared responsibility of the Clinical Leadership team, and requires weekend or evening work on a rotational/occasional basis

- Completion of a BSW, MSW or other University Degree relevant to mental health, addiction or Social Services
- Minimum of 3 years’ direct clinical work with individuals experiencing addiction and concurrent mental health issues required
- Registration with a professional college (i.e. OCSWSSW or CRPO) required
- Experience providing clinical supervision and team leadership an asset
- Experience with inter-agency partnerships / multi-disciplinary teams an asset
- Strong knowledge of addictions theory and practice, withdrawal management, harm reduction, and current best practices – particularly concurrent and trauma-informed
- Lived experience related to addictions and/or mental health an asset
- Valid G Driver’s License (G2 or G) and Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record
- CSC Clearance conducted by PWGS Canada
- Standard First Aid/CPR Level C
- Flexible schedule as required to support program delivery
- Own transportation and reliable vehicle required - programs are delivered within Guelph-Wellington (Rural wellington) and Waterloo-Wellington, and flexibility to travel within these regions is required
- Must be able to attend work (travel to 24-7/Continuous Care Centres) within an hour of notification, when on call
