Mercy One is actively seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team during evening hours. This full-time position involves assisting with lab test collection, processing, analysis, and reporting. Key skills include excellent specimen management, patient verification, and data accuracy, all while adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipunctures, finger sticks, and heel sticks

• Manage specimen collection and internal requisitions

• Identify patients using unique identifiers

• Log and evaluate specimens in the Laboratory Information System

• Process specimens according to laboratory protocols

Requirements:

• Laboratory experience preferred

• Strong computer skills and quick learner

• Comfortable in collaborative work environments

• High school diploma or GED required

• Ability to inspire and motivate colleagues
