Development Project Lead - Contract
Role SummaryThe Development Project Lead will lead development projects in machine learning and or vision systems using Microsoft Azure Cognitive services. Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot programming issues. Works with System Analyst and other IT staff. This is a contract position, for approximately one year.
Key Responsibilities- Lead development project in machine learning and or vision systems using Microsoft Azure Cognitive services
- Responsible for developing, maintaining and support of process application programs and related control systems
- Adheres to our established change control management process
- Encodes project requirements by converting work flow information into programming language
- Responsible for system design, specifications, etc.
- Work closely with customers/users to develop and understand requirements and business objectives
- Manage business plan projects
- Ability to work extended hours when required
- Other duties as required
- University/College Degree or Diploma (preferably in Computer Science) or equivalent experience
- Proven programming ability in various languages required
- SQL server queries and administration, using Azure Cognitive services
- Machine learning and vision systems
- Experience with C#, DOTNET, SQL, VB6, VBA
- Experience with Object Databases an asset
- Experience with Data warehouse, Replication, ETL, SSAS, SSIS
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral English)
- Knowledge of networking principles
- Manufacturing experience and experience with PLCs an asset
- Ability to critically assess emergent and future technologies and incorporate into strategic planning
- Critical accuracy required for quality of application and documentation
- Creative problem solving ability
- Experience and skill at root cause analysis and troubleshooting
- Capable of working as part of a team, with little supervision
