Guelph Transit Technology Specialist

Play a crucial role in Guelph Transit as a Transit Technology Specialist with a hybrid work model. Oversee technology systems, provide critical support, and drive operational improvements for enhanced service delivery.

This permanent, full-time position involves working with Guelph Transit’s technology systems, reporting directly to the Manager of Transit Network Design. You will support staff through troubleshooting efforts while ensuring optimal performance of systems including CAD AVL and electronic farebox management. Your contributions will directly influence the effectiveness of transit operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support staff through troubleshooting and issue resolution

• Oversee daily operations of transit technology systems

• Serve as a subject matter expert for transit tech systems

• Develop SOPs and technical manuals for operational use

• Ensure transit technology security compliance

Requirements:

• Expertise in CAD AVL and related transit technology

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Experience in managing user training and support

• Understanding of transit operations and planning

• Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities
