Audio Visual Technician at University

This role reports to the Manager of Classroom Technical Infrastructure in the Computing and Communication Services division. The technician is essential for providing on-site support, routine maintenance, and technical assistance in classrooms, lecture halls, and event spaces. Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills and a keen understanding of AV equipment usage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and configure AV equipment including projectors and microphones
• Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance on AV systems
• Provide first-level support and training to faculty and staff
• Assist with AV setups for campus events and equipment transport
• Collaborate with IT on AV upgrades and renovations
Requirements:
• Two-year College Diploma in a related field
• 1-2 years AV setup experience, educational preferred
• Familiar with AV control systems and conferencing platforms
• Valid G-Class Driver's License
• CTS certification preferred within one year
