Position: AV Technician Role University
Become an integral part of Guelph University’s Computing and Communication Services as an Audio Visual Technician. Drive the use of audiovisual technology across various campus settings in Guelph, ON.

Reporting to the Manager of Classroom Technical Infrastructure, the technician will provide essential support and maintenance for audiovisual systems. This position involves troubleshooting, hands-on support, and collaboration with faculty during lectures and events. Your insights into AV technologies will enhance the learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and maintain AV equipment like control systems and video tools

• Conduct routine preventative maintenance checks on AV setups

• Educate faculty and staff on hybrid learning technologies

• Set up AV equipment for campus events and manage transport

• Work with IT on upgrading AV components

Requirements:

• Two-year Diploma in Audio-Visual or related discipline

• 1-2 years of experience in AV support or setup

• Knowledge of video conferencing platforms

• Valid G-Class Driver's License

• Working at Heights certification
