Chai is on the lookout for a Staff ML Infra Engineer with a strong background in building scalable ML infrastructure. Join our team in Palo Alto, where you’ll help grow our engineering division from 12 to 50 in the next 18 months.
We seek a driven engineer with over three years of experience in backend engineering. The ideal candidate will be familiar with key technologies such as Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, and Spark. You will play a crucial role in developing our ML infrastructure while leading and mentoring a growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and manage scalable ML infrastructure
• Lead the engineering team growth strategy
• Collaborate on backend engineering projects
• Utilize Kubernetes, Kafka, and Spark in operations
• Drive technical assessments and code evaluations
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree from a top academic institution
• 3+ years of experience in backend engineering
• Proficient in Python and Kubernetes
• Familiar with Apache Kafka and Spark
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
