Manager, Information Technology; IT
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology the Information Technology (IT) Manager is responsible for the day-to-day secure and effective operation of all information technology services, application systems, networks, computer systems, and related applications within the hospital. This includes direct supervision and management of information technology staff including the performance of personnel duties. The IT Manager also leads or participates, at the direction or delegation of the CIO, in IT projects, hospital committees and/or initiatives.

- Minimum of a three (3) year undergraduate degree in a relevant field, experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of information technology experience required
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
- Expertise in data centre management and data governance
- Experience in corporate cyber security requirements which should include, secure network architecture, firewall configuration, intrusion prevention systems, endpoint protection and knowledge of cloud security and identity management.
- Knowledge of local computer networks, including;
Windows Server Operating Systems, Microsoft - Windows Licensing Management, Microsoft SQL Server, Hospital Information Systems/Electronic
- Medical Records, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems, Document Management Systems Citrix/Terminal Server, PBX/VolP and Enterprise Mail Systems
- Experience working in a unionized environment with union and union contracts
- Sound technical competence, a good working knowledge of related regulations and code requirements, and the ability to work under stressful emergency situations
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing quality improvement
- Expert problem-solving, dispute resolution & decision-making skills
- Healthcare experience would be considered an asset
- Willingness to be flexible with working hours to suit operational requirements
- A working knowledge of MS Office, Internet, email and computer-based reporting tools is required
- Excellent analytical and report preparation skills
- Must have demonstrated ability to meet the attendance standards of the Hospital
- Experience in procurement management is an asset
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
