Join CGIC as a Senior Actuarial Consultant, where your advanced skillset in analytics will drive significant improvements in claims reserving and governance. This hybrid role requires strong actuarial expertise.

As part of the Corporate Actuarial team, you will tackle complex analyses and integrate advanced analytic solutions for improving reserving workflows. Your insights will guide decision-making and enhance the operational sustainability of actuarial processes. You will also support cross-departmental initiatives and lead process improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth actuarial analyses into financial result drivers

• Develop effective reserving methodologies and assumptions

• Partner with data experts to validate predictive models

• Apply actuarial insight to performance metrics and report

• Lead initiatives and mentor colleagues within the team

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree in a related discipline

• At least five years in P&C actuarial roles

• Strong knowledge of actuarial methods and best practices

• Advanced SQL, SAS, R, or Python skills required

• Actuarial designation progress is an asset
