Material Planner

Position: Material Planner for Shearer's Foods
Join Shearer's Foods as a Material Planner in Massillon, OH. Utilize your supply chain expertise in a food manufacturing environment to enhance production efficiency and supplier relationships.

This full-time role requires collaboration with various internal teams including Scheduling, Production, and Quality. You will manage purchase orders and communicate demand schedules to suppliers while qualifying cost-saving opportunities. Ideal candidates are self-motivated with strong negotiation skills and 5+ years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and monitor purchase orders using ERP/MRP systems

• Manage relationships with suppliers and internal teams

• Anticipate demand schedules and communicate with vendors

• Identify cost-saving initiatives and solutions

• Manage the RMA process and inventory levels

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management

• Minimum 5 years' experience in purchasing and planning

• Strong negotiation and analytical skills

• Proficient in ERP/MRP and Microsoft Office

• Exceptional organizational and communication skills
