Position: Temporary Custodian for Schools
Become a Temporary Custodian with the Wellington Catholic DSB, contributing to a clean and safe learning environment. This position entails afternoon shifts and various cleaning and maintenance tasks across school buildings.

The Wellington Catholic DSB is seeking a dedicated Temporary Custodian for 100% temporary work. This role requires 40 hours per week, primarily afternoon shifts from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM, with a willingness to work days as needed. Key responsibilities include cleaning, maintenance, and handling emergency situations under the Caretaker-in-charge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain all school areas daily

• Clear ice and snow from walkways

• Perform minor repairs and grounds work

• Handle garbage and secure the building

• Report maintenance issues during shifts

Requirements:

• Grade 12 Secondary School diploma or equivalent

• Understanding of Health and Safety Regulations

• Excellent communication skills required

• Previous related custodial experience is preferred

• Ability to operate equipment like vacuum and floor scrubbers

This role requires attention to detail during cleaning and maintenance to ensure a safe environment for students and staff.
