Position: Full-time Maintenance Supervisor- Grand River Casino
Location: EloraElements Grand River Casino is currently seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day activities of the maintenance operations of the Casino, particularly the physical preservation of the property. This position will report to the Operation Manager on duty.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Provides input for employee performance objectives and evaluationsSchedules, supervises and monitors employeesAssigns shift work assignmentsAssists with the implementation of maintenance operations’ strategic plansInspects and maintains property, heating, water and electric operationsParticipates in complex maintenance and equipment installation projectsProvides efficiency reports and makes recommendations for improvementsAssists in developing capital improvement budget requestsApproves maintenance supplies and equipment requisitionsPerforms other duties as assigned or directedSuccessful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance supervisionPost Secondary education in HVAC or suitable combination of education and experience an assetAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.SIR, Smart Serve or IGB CertificatePossess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel when requiredComputer literacy in MS OfficeAbility to work in a team environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to work well under pressure in a fast paced, busy environmentMust be detail oriented and possess strong motivation, team building, customer service and time management skillsThe ability to successfully pass a criminal record and credit checkAbility to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communicationA commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guestsA willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional developmentLive GCE’s Values on the job:
