Custodian at University

Join the University of Guelph as a Custodian, providing essential cleaning services on weekends. You will ensure cleanliness and maintenance in various student and staff environments while using ergonomic cleaning tools.

This part-time temporary position spans from late August 2026 to May 2027, requiring up to 24 hours weekly, primarily during weekends. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of custodial experience from a reputable institution, including skills for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. You will play a crucial role in representing university values through your work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather waste and tidy surfaces efficiently

• Maintain cleanliness in student and guest areas

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 10 education;
Grade 12 preferred

• One year custodial experience in institutional settings

• Ability to handle hazardous workplace materials

• Capacity to perform routine physical tasks

• Criminal reference check required for off-campus candidates
