Live-In Assistant Resident Manager

About the Role:

Equiton is looking for an Assistant Resident Manager, who has both customer facing and maintenance experience. This is more than just a job, it's a lifestyle. You'll receive a fully subsidized apartment onsite as part of your compensation, so you can live where you work, be present for residents, and take pride in the community you help manage.

$23,000 annually plus $27,456 apartment benefit ($2288/month for a 2 bedroom apartment). ($50,456/yr total)

• Maintain daily cleanliness of common areas and prepare vacant suites for new residents
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident requests and concerns
• Show available suites to prospective tenants and support leasing efforts
• Book and coordinate contractors for maintenance and repairs
• Conduct regular inspections of the property, including building systems and grounds
• Assist with minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, basic HVAC checks)
• Ensure life safety systems and fire regulations are adhered to
• Provide exceptional customer service and help foster a positive community environment
• Remain available for evening and weekend on-call duties

• A strong work ethic, reliability, and a "do-it-yourself" mindset
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and handle minor maintenance and repair tasks
• Strong cleaning standards and pride in creating a well-kept environment
• Comfort with technology (email, text, MS Office; Yardi experience is a plus)
• Valid driver's license
• Flexibility to handle emergency calls as needed

• Previous experience in building maintenance, property management, building operations, or similar roles (2-5 years preferred)
• High school diploma or GED
• Proficiency in English (a second language is a plus)
• Able to lift up to 15kg and perform physical tasks (stairs, bending, etc.)
• Criminal background check required
