This experienced position requires a robust background in lumber processing, purchasing, and managing specifications. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to advance product performance and operational efficiency.
Your role includes conducting supplier negotiations, audits, and providing hands-on support at manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build strategic partnerships with sawmills and traders across Canada
• Analyze lumber sorting data to align with quality standards
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for supplier evaluations
• Collaborate to maximize yield and efficiency in production
• Conduct on-site supplier audits and support operational effectiveness
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years in the lumber industry
• Strong technical knowledge of lumber processing and grading
• Familiarity with NLGA grading standards
• Proficiency in data analysis tools, including Excel and Power BI
• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
