The world relies on HPS to continually conceive and produce state‑of‑the‑art transformer technology. We currently have an opening for a Coil Winder, Cl.6.

• Operates a power‑driven winding machine to wind more complex and generally larger coils for power transformers where quality standards are critical to the nature of the work.
• Sets up assigned work to meet specification.
• Exercises sound judgment based on knowledge of accepted methods and procedures and questions all deviation from specifications with supervisor.
• Follows safe work guidelines and procedures.

• Good knowledge of copper and aluminum welding – gas & TIG.
• High degree of judgment exercised based on knowledge and interpretation of specifications.
• Knowledge of methods, practices, techniques, terms, definitions and standards required in the manufacture of transformers.

Full‑time hourly starting rate: $30.17/hr shift and premium pay available:

• $1.00/hr. – Afternoon shift premium
• $2.50/hr. – Dedicated trainer premium
• $3.00/hr. – Shift advisor premium

Full pay range: $30.17 – $34.28/hr. – as per the collective agreement.
