Overview

Are you a process-driven professional with a knack for streamlining production and a passion for Lean Manufacturing?

We are looking for a motivated Industrial Engineer to join our team in Guelph for a one-year contract. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the industrialization of new product launches and the implementation of high-impact cost‑saving initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization:
    Measure, analyze, and improve production processes with a heavy focus on product flow and line balancing.
  • Standardization:
    Establish labor standards using MOST and time‑study methods; develop Lean Manufacturing standards across the facility.
  • Facility Design:
    Develop, revise, and implement equipment and process layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Documentation:
    Create and maintain process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, Value Stream Maps, and detailed project timing plans.
  • Project Management:
    Oversee the validation and verification of new processes to ensure they meet capability requirements.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with production personnel to help identify and execute cost‑saving and process improvement ideas.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Graduate of a recognized Engineering program (University level).
  • Experience:

    3–5 years of related experience in an automotive or aerospace manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and time/motion direct labor measurement.
  • Core Knowledge:
    Proven understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts, PFMEA development, and Plant Layout design.
  • Soft Skills:

    Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills; must be a self‑motivated communicator who thrives in high‑pressure situations.
  • Reliability: A proven track record of excellent performance, safety, and attendance.
