Genetic Product Laboratory Technician

Become a key player at Semex as a Laboratory Technician, rotating between day and night shifts in Guelph, Ontario. Help produce innovative genetic products for the global farming community.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Laboratory Technician who is committed to quality and precision in our production laboratories. Your responsibilities will include evaluating semen quality, operating lab machinery, and performing thorough quality checks. You will work under strict protocols to support the production of genetic solutions that enhance livestock health around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess semen quality with attention to concentration and volume

• Prepare samples for further processing and sorting

• Operate and calibrate lab machinery effectively

• Perform analysis and monitor machine performance

• Handle sample labeling and data entry in our ERP system

Requirements:

• Relevant degree or diploma in Biotechnology or Science

• 1-2 years of experience in a lab or production

• Familiarity with micropipetting and lab procedures

• Strong team collaboration and communication skills

• Ability to work in cold environments
