Packaging Process Engineer

Join Mars as a Packaging Process Engineer and implement innovative packaging solutions in Guelph. This role involves manufacturing expertise and collaboration across multiple departments to ensure compliance and efficiency.

As the on-site R&D representative, you’ll be responsible for deploying new packaging materials and systems while conducting trials and validations. You should have over 5 years of experience in manufacturing, particularly with packaging equipment and materials. Partner with teams to drive sustainability and compliance initiatives while enhancing factory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement R&D innovations related to packaging

• Coordinate line trials, resources, and reporting

• Document trial plans and outcomes

• Validate new packaging specifications locally

• Facilitate training sessions for factory teams

Requirements:

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience

• Knowledge of Lean principles is preferred

• Strong analytical and influencing skills

• Ability to train and transfer knowledge to others

• Travel requirement of 15%-20%
