Operate CNC laser equipment in Guelph while applying troubleshooting expertise, precision measurement, and blueprint reading skills on a Monday-to-Friday schedule.
Melitron is seeking a CNC operator for its manufacturing operation in Guelph, Ontario. The position involves setting up laser machines, loading sheet steel, maintaining tooling, and completing inspections. Candidates need five or more years of CNC experience operating and troubleshooting laser equipment, plus mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:- Follow production schedules and priorities from supervision and planning
- Set up CNC settings, peripheral equipment, and raw materials
- Operate equipment using operating and quality procedures
- Complete preventative maintenance and safety device inspections
- Record completions and fallout through SAP MRP terminals
- Five or more years operating and troubleshooting laser equipment
- Blueprint reading knowledge and experience
- Comfort using calipers, height gauges, and protractors
- Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented approach
