As a Machine Operator with Tigercat Industries, you will set up specialized machines for specified wire types, lengths, and braid patterns. You will cut, label, and process wires according to blueprints or work orders. The role includes monitoring output, identifying defects, documenting production data, and reporting equipment or material issues. Collaboration with assemblers, technicians, and supervisors supports production goals and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up wire cutting and braiding machines to technical specifications
- Load spools and thread wires through operating equipment
- Inspect wires and harnesses for defects and uniformity
- Measure braid dimensions and document production data
- Report shortages, inconsistencies, and equipment malfunctions
- Manufacturing or hands-on work experience
- High attention to detail and processing precision
- Understanding of machine operation and defect identification
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Comfort with physically demanding work, grease, and oil exposure
